Speaking Clearly
While listening to Artie Shaw and his band playing "All the Things You Are", my mind wandered back to memories of my father. It struck me that as a child, we were never afraid for our safety - at home, at school, or out playing. If our Dad's weren't around, a neighbor was. These men were veterans of a mighty conflict, and they knew how to deal with the bad guys, and no one complained when they did. I've tried to be the best protector for my children, and grandchildren, but sometimes I still wish my Dad and his veteran buddies were still here with us. When I'm doubtful about how to deal with the 'bad guys', I think about my father. He still speaks clearly to me.
