Here's the back story on one Vincenzo Zagari - Officer Involved Shooting.
Interesting note in the story - he's on probation for a shooting in the Town of Wheatland in June 2012?!?!
So - let me get this straight. He shoots someone - assuming with a GUN, not a marshmallow popper or Nerf Gun, right? And the sentence is PROBATION!?
This has to be a joke! This State and Nation does NOT need new gun laws - enforce the laws on the books.
And just exactly what extenuating circumstances would justify Probation for shooting someone?? It was an accident?? If that is the case, why PROBATION?
How about this? Mandatory sentencing for a crime committed with a gun - oh wait, that's the law of the land already!
It's time for the legal system to step up and take responsibility for keeping people like this character on the street.
